Brittany is the owner and founder of "Safety Sister". She is a mother, wife, daughter, and sister who has a passion for empowering women to keep themselves and their families safe. The term "sister" refers to the sisterhood that comes along with being a woman and the responsibility that comes along with educating one another. These days there is a lot of emphasis on "self-defense", which focuses on fighting off an attacker. Self-defense is very important, however as a 5'1" woman, all the self-defense techniques and knowledge in the world would make it difficult for me to fight off a 250 pound man. What's more important is learning how to be aware and proactive in a way that could keep you from ever having to use "self-defense". Our mission is to teach children, teens, and adults how to recognize, prevent, and defend against potentially dangerous situations. The purpose is never to instill fear, but rather to educate, inform, and instill awareness and confidence.
Brittany has a background in psychology and is a certified safety trainer, and self-defense educator. She will tell you a lot more about herself and why she has chosen this path within the context of the course.
